Instructions

Note: Ch 3 at beg of row counts as dc throughout.

Motif (make 7). (See Chart I).
Ch 80, leaving a long tail approx 12" [30.5 cm] for sewing.
1st row: (WS). 7 dc in 4th ch from hook (counts as 8 dc). 1 dc in each of next 13 ch. Place marker on last st. *(Yoh and draw up a loop in next ch. Yoh and draw through 2 loops on hook) twice. Yoh and draw through all loops on hook - dc2tog made. 1 dc in each of next 6 ch. Rep from * 6 times more. Dc2tog. 1 dc in each of last 5 ch. Turn. 76 sts.
2nd row: Ch 3. 1 dc in next dc. (Dc2tog. 1 dc in each of next 5 sts) 7 times. Dc2tog. 1 dc in each of next 15 sts. 2 dc in each of next 8 dc. Turn.
3rd row: Ch 3. 2 dc in next dc. (1 dc in next dc. 2 dc in next dc) 7 times. 1 dc in each of next 13 dc. (Dc2tog. 1 dc in each of next 4 sts) 7 times. Dc2tog. 1 dc in each of next 3 sts. Turn.
4th row: Ch 3. (Dc2tog. 1 dc in each of next 3 sts) 7 times. Dc2tog. 1 dc in each of next 16 sts. (2 dc in next st. 1 dc in each of next 2 sts) 7 times. 2 dc in last st. Turn.

(2 dc in next st. 1 dc in each of next 6 sts) 7 times. 2 dc in next st. 1 dc in last dc. Fasten off, leaving a long tail approx 12" [30.5 cm] for sewing.

FINISHING
Bring last st and marked st tog. Using long yarn tail, sew from marker to center. Rep for opposite side with first st and marker.
Join Motifs tog as shown on diagram.

Edging
With RS facing, join yarn with sl st in any dc. Ch 4 (counts as tr). 2 tr in same sp as last sl st. 3 tr in each st around. Join with sl st to top of ch 4. Fasten off.
