I'm glad you said that because I was starting to worry that I was doing this all wrong. My squares look the same as yours!

Halfway finished my squares! My friend came over and we worked on it together. It's so cool because we're doing completely different colours so they will turn out to be completely different afghans! We probably would have finished by now if we didn't have to go to the craft store for another hook! I can't get the gauge unless I am using a size K hook!

 Well today arrived and i do not have my yarn. i missed the sale at Micheals and now i will have to order or use another brand of yarn. I did the last CAL , but I did not finish when everybody else did. I have plenty of Love That yarn and i also have some Red Heart Super Saver. Would these yarns work for this afghan?

Any worsted weight yarn that knits to the same gauge will work. You will find others who are using different yarns here: viewtopic.php?f=191&t=1297

GrannyDi, do you know how to crochet your square?

Anyone else using the magic loop beginning instead? Does it make a difference in how the square will lay?

I've already finished half the squares. At this rate I'll be done before bed. I have a bunch of other projects to work on, but I'm starting to wonder if I can talk my darling husband into getting me the yarn for the KAL since my birthday is just around the corner anyway.... :knit:
