Hopefully this works! First time posting a photo here. The camera just doesn't do the colors justice!

I am so excited about this CAL!
(But when I saw the first clue was 12 4.5 x 4.5 blocks, I started to dread the piecing together later. :| )
I have started blocking. Trying to keep ahead of the curve!

Have fun, all!

I am LOVING everyone's squares!
While I was waiting for my kids to finish school today I sat at the park and finished all my squares for the week. The lighting didn't do the colours justice. The yarn didn't have colour names but they are oatmeal, pink (brighter then the photo),cream and grey. I was undecided on the grey but with them all laid out, they look good together. I don't have a computer so I am posting a link to my photo.

my hubby suggested that i choose colors representing my kiddos for this afghan and make it a "mother's afghan" kind of like a mother's ring. the blue is for my hubby, the green is my oldest girl, pink my second daughter, the yellow my only son, and i picked a purple for my newest lil girl born on new years day.

Yay, I finished the first clue! Now with a 4 day weekend I can work on my grand daughters afghan and wait on the second clue.

Love seeing some blocked, gives an idea of what it will look like, how do you block? I have only blocked a scarf, not squares. Great colors!! :bravo:

Your squares are perfect. Will ours look like that when we are done blocking (not even sure what blocking is) or are you just extra talented? I hope my squares grow up to look just like yours! LOL!!!! Looks great. :bravo:

got all 12 squares done the first evening!

Took photos today but they are still in the camera it took me all afternoon to finish half a square on the knit along afghan as I'm not really a knitter but want to get better at it. My grandma taught me to knit almost 50 years ago but it just never took. Took to crocheting when my mom taught me 2 years later and I always come back to crocheting. Taught both my girls and they took to it too and we have crochet nights where we are all working on a project.

This is my first mystery crochet along and I'm looking forward to seeing how it turns out.
