Crochet-Along Clue 1: Spoilers and Photos

Woo hoo! Just finished my 12 squares
I'm using Sundrift for my main colour, and Colonial Beige, Bark, Aqua Frost and Greek Sea for my accent colours.

Beautiful colors! I want that blanket!

Aw, thank you! I agonized over my colour palette; in the end, its going to complement my duvet cover that has the same colours.

I'm now contemplating trying the KAL. I'm doing some traveling for work so I won't be able to carry that much yarn around with me. Do you know if we need all 5 colours for Clue #2? Need to make room in my suitcase! (Oh, please PM me so I don't ruin the surprise for everyone else. Thanks!)

Finished all 12 squares for the first clue, including blocking them so I don't have a ton of wonky squares to try to block or just stitch together at the end. Now it's time to get started on the KAL

You need colors B, C, and D for clues 1 & 2.

Finished my 12 crochet blocks, and am waiting for the arrival of blocking wires to block them, they look great!! Also doing the KAL and only have 2 done there and the first needs some to be unknitted, but am happy with that one also, love seeing and reading all posts, glad I joined!!!

Hello, I am still a beginner, taking on the challenge of the Crochet-Along to help me learn! I finished all of my squares for Clue 1 and after looking at every one else's photos, notice that all of my squares have what looks like a hole at the beginning of the 2nd round, where we are to Ch 4. Here is a pic of what I am talking about. Any ideas on what I could be doing wrong?

Did you put the slip stitch in the top of the chain four instead of the 3rd chain?

I am 99.9% sure that putting it in the 3rd chain, not the top.
