I finished all of my squares for Clue 1 and after looking at every one else's photos, notice that all of my squares have what looks like a hole at the beginning of the 2nd round, where we are to Ch 4. Here is a pic of what I am talking about. Any ideas on what I could be doing wrong?

It looks like you only have 19 DC instead of 20. I could have counted wrong, but I would re-count that row (the second row) just to be sure

I'm glad to hear all of you saying that the square looks circle! I know that they will stretch when sewn together, but it's nice to know I wasn't the only one who was suprised by this!
On Gage, I too tend to crochet tight, so I knew starting out I would need a bigger hook, got really lucky and picked a J hook and went for it It measured exactly right! Happy camper ( or crocheter here)!

Additionally, I usually use the magic circle for any and all circle projects, but to keep the cirle more flat I did chose to use the chain method. I also liked the concept of having a more open look for a change. I added an extra ch in the begining starting with a ch 5.

I use a marker in the chain just to be sure.

Okay...Finished the first week clues. Mine came out just a tad smaller but I am just going to go with it. I am so excited for the next clue!

Right now - Bitter Rose...It is the only color that I am questioning myself on.

I think that would look really nice! Are you questioning the colour or the shade of colour?

Phew!!! I took mine apart and redid it. It came out so small so I wondered if I'd had it right. I shall continue on with my other colors then!!
