Wowzers you crochet FAST!! I have fine motor skills issues so I need to go slow so it took me about 4 hours for 12, good thing I have lots of time on my hands.

yeah....i seem to have gotten speedy lately.....probably because I've been working on a lot of small items - purses, scarves, hats, etc. Trying to build inventory to start doing craft shows.

thanx on the colors. :) i'm likin' them so far. Usually i go for brighter, but these seemed to work for me.

Here's what my pieces look like. The main color is birch white.
I think it looks right.

You have made this forum so enjoyable and entertaining. I hope you got some rest this weekend after the release of the first clues! Secondly, I get it that we need to resize the photos. This photo I could resize very easily without having to go to another site to resize. Do you want it even smaller so that someone does not need to use the the scroll bar?

Thanks for the love! :cloud9:
That photo is just fine. No worries.

I have a question to ask. After the ch 5, and when performing the next dc (after skipping the next chain one space) how is the crochet hook angled? I noted that you can get kind of a "loopy" or "sloppy" look if you do not keep your hook angled and your yarn tight to the hook (don't know if anyone can follow what I am saying). :helpme:

I understand what you are asking.
What I did was put my finger on the yarn over on my hook, kind of locking it in place, then I pulled my first part of the double crochet through and let go. By doing this I was able to keep my tension the same throughout. Hope you can understand me as well I understood you! Just try it and it may become clear

The tail left at the edge of the piece can be used for seaming. The tail in the middle isn't usually quite as useful, so unless we're in for some pretty complicated joining, I doubt we'll need those too...

Just keep the tail on the edge of the piece. You can go ahead and weave in the center tail.

Darn, I knew it..lol I already blocked my motifs and everything and talked my mom into doing this and made her leave her tails like mine. lol

I don't see any difference between the two... so why block? :rainy:

I thought the same thing! :)

I finally blocked them a second time. This time around I soaked them in water until they dripped. Then I pinned them down and took my blow dryer and dried them. They stayed square except one that is slightly round but still square. Apparently you have to soak them to block them properly. ;)

Ok, I will try that! Thank you! ;)

Here are my finished blocks and my inspiration photo(illustrated garden by design-seeds.com). :) Bernat did not have a lavender, so I just went with a more vibrant pink as my D color!
My color choices are:
Butter - MC
Princess - A
Antique - B
Willow - C
Fresh Flower - D
