This is my first "along" of any kind - crochet, knit, quilt. So far, I'm really enjoying it. It's so much fun to follow the pattern directions, without knowing what the end result is supposed to look like, and then the reward for me has been when I complete the block and seeing that I've done it correctly when I compare my block to other crocheters. I wish I hadn't soaked my camera in some sort of mystery liquid so that I could take pictures of my blocks to share. I'm enjoying seeing the different colors and color combinations being used by other crocheters, and I'm so anxious to see the end results, not just of my own work, but everyone's. I think it's pretty cool how we can all begin with the same color palates, and still turn out something that's unique and individual. For mine, I chose the "Past Perfect" Waverly color palate, using Mauve Glow as my main color, and Princess, Celedon, Breath of Blue, and Beautiful Blue as my coordinating colors. I'm enjoying my participation in this Crochet-Along so much that I'm purchasing more yarn so I can participate in the Knit-Along, too. And I'll probably also purchase the coordinating Waverly fabric and then look for a Quilt-Along to participate in. Obviously, I'm hooked (pun intended)!
