I used my ironing board for the clue 1 squares. There was room for all of them at one time. Because my cats have never seen an ironing board (yikes, can't believe i never iron!), I decided to block by pinning all the squares out to size, then I covered the whole arrangement with a damp towel to keep them away from the pins. I left it overnight and this morning the towel was dry, and the squares looked great! Really enjoying doing the CAL. It seems more manageable to do one pattern type each week. Have fun!! :hellogoodbye:

I love this clue, much more interesting. I really relied on the on the diagram on the second page, which is something I've never done before. I look forward to trying more patterns with diagrams. Another thing I liked about this clue is that mistakes are evident in the next round so you don't end up frogging the whole thing for a mistake at the beginning.

I was mega happy when my block turned out perfectly, no blocking needed!! WOOT

I too never need a chart but also found myself needing the chart for this one. Glad it wasn't just me. ;)

Ok, I'm confused...I did rounds 1-3 beautifully but when I did round 4 it caused the flower petals to all bunch up. It almost seemed as is the 5 chains were not long enough. Anyone else have this happen?

I like the little curl to the petals, it makes it look pretty and 3D IMO. :geek:

Off to try again, going to change to my mc yarn. Maybe the lighter shade will help.

Don't rip it out! It does look that way, but keep on going and by the time you are done with the motif, it will all flatten out nicely! :)
