On round 4 I was having issues finding the right "remaining loops" from the chain after I made the petals. I went through each petal and on the one side only (the other side was easy to figure) I put stitch markers in each loop I was to sc in.
Then when I started working around the petals, I would move those stitch markers to the ch1 spaces so that when I come back around to do the dc and Tr2tog, I wouldn't have to "hunt" them down.
Not sure this makes any sense, but it's helping me with round 4 and to prepare for round 5.

Thanks for these pictures; they were a big help to me with getting my first octogon done last evening. I love your creativity in using paper clips for markers.
