Thanks again to all who get right on these clues and post pictures and tips. It sure helps those of us who come to the party late. Surprisingly, I actually found this one an easier pattern than last week. Hmmm?!? :bravo:

By the way, that happened to me on clue 2 as well, but at least I caught that one before I finished it! I have a terrible tendency when I get to the end of a row to increase...which of course I did. So out the block came back to where the 8th point was...and sure enough, that was where I made an extra point. I was much quicker finishing it the second time :) And I now have an octogon! :) I felt this block "stretched me" as a crocheter which is part of the reason I am doing this CAL! My favorite block so far is block 2 which I think I will use that pattern to make a dishcloth! :)

The same thing happened to me on clue 3 :)

Oh Wow, It happened to me too!!!!! I'm a little behind now but I will catch up ;) I'm glad I'm not alone in that little setback.

They're lovely - but it looks like you didn't do the final round on the motif in the top left corner. You probably noticed by now, but I figured I'd mention it just in case. I'd hate to be seaming things together and then notice something I missed! LOL

I felt like my using so much of my Main Color (Bark) was getting a little too dark, so I switched this up a bit. I like it.

I can finally say there is one HUGE advantage to knitting with round needles, you don't pick up the wrong one when you go out the door to work on your CAL in the car!
OMG! I had two rounds left to go and thought, hey, I can get these done in the time it takes to go across the mountain and back home again (while my husband drives of coarse), so I did not notice I had grabbed the wrong hook. In fact, I did not notice even after I brought it home and cut the 12 " length. Nope, silly me, it wasn't until I put the motif on the pile that I first thought to myself, I must crochet tight when in a moving vehicle! Then my ah ha moment arose when I sat to make another motif and grabbed my hook.
Ugh, it is actually a whole inch smaller just from doing the last 2 rounds with the wrong hook.
I would have to join a new ball on in order to fix it, or do I try and block it out to the correct size?
What would you do?
