One of these nights I will actually remember to get pictures of all my blocks.

This morning I took a couple of quick pictures of the motif I was working on with a couple of hints that I found helpful to me.

On round 4 I was having issues finding the right "remaining loops" from the chain after I made the petals. I went through each petal and on the one side only (the other side was easy to figure) I put stitch markers in each loop I was to sc in.

Then when I started working around the petals, I would move those stitch markers to the ch1 spaces so that when I come back around to do the dc and Tr2tog, I wouldn't have to "hunt" them down.

Not sure this makes any sense, but it's helping me with round 4 and to prepare for round 5.

Awesome pictures and what a great tip, thank you! I will definitely try this on my next attempt. Trying to find the ch1 space was definitely challenging last night. I thought it was just me, not being experienced enough to always recognize the difference in the stiches...although I'm sure that doesn't help either

Great idea! I was always nervous I wouldn't find the right spot for my second stitch each time i started a new tr2tog. Nervous and excited. :cloud9:

I finally completed my first motif for clue 3 and noticed that it is different from other photos. I realized that on the Tr2tog in the 5th round, I actually did 2 Tr together in the first required space and 2 Tr in the second space instead of one in each side together. Since it does not seem to make any difference with the size of the motif and since I actually like the way it looks, I am planning to leave it and do the others to match. I learned more that one thing from this clue!!!

Well this week is a challenge for me. My first one might be a frog, I'm concentrating so hard my gauge might be too small. I'm not happy with how my piece lacks definition, maybe it will be better with my other colour.

I think this is the week that will put me behind for sure, but I love the challenge!

Oh yes....I remember those mitered squares. SO glad we haven't had to do any of those this year. :)

The part that makes me happiest is that the motif is exactly the same size as Clue 2!

Great pictures Shandeh!! Between yours and Type1mom's with the stitch markers, I should be all set to correct my first attempt and tackle the rest. It is very helpful to me to see how it is supposed to look at each round, so I know where perhaps mine fell off the track (silly round 5 with those hiding ch1 spaces)
