Shandeh, thanks for the info on the Paton's mohair. I'll look for it locally and see if I can find any. If not there's always the internet!!

I had to teach myself how to crochet left-handed since my mom is right-handed and I couldn't figure out what she was doing many many years ago. She brought me a wonderful little book "Crocheting for Left-handers" (one for knitting too but I just could wrap my brain around that one.) The only difference in my crocheting is that I stitch the opposite way the charts.
3 down and 3 to go on first and then to second afghan.
Nankaeia, can you post a picture of that book? I have a daughter who, when I first taught her to crochet, could not get the hang of doing it right handed so she switched to her left hand and had no trouble other than it was a bit harder for me to help her being a righty. I would love to get her that book as she is now married and has a daughter of her own. THANKS!!!

I have found that they have lots of things you never thought you would be able to find. Hope it helps.
It is really old (copyright 1977) I lent my copy to a friend of my daughter. Here is a photo of the knitting book. The ISBN for the knitting book is 0-442-23585-2. Hope this helps.

I could be wrong, but I think they were just referring to the fact that the following row would stitch over those slips, covering them up.

crochetlou wrote:Hi This is my first post so be gentle with me. I am so enjoying doing this blanket I was originally making it for my teenage son but he went off it when he saw clue 2! I am loving clue 3 and fortunately it is coming out the same size as no 2. I am from England so is nice to be able to join in with you all.
