I am LOVING this motif. I love the challenge the most, but it worked up fairly easily. Back to relaxing with my yarn.

I have 3 done and 3 to go. Haven't crocheted today due to getting my hair permed this afternoon and then replacing my defective dishnetwork receiver. Hair is beautiful but stinky like a perm and the receiver is now working properly. Now its time to make the 4th block and maybe the 5th. Will see if I can do two tonight. That perm has made me tired even though I didn't do the perming....lol

I only made one more...too tired to do the Main Color tonight.....Will work on them tomorrow.. :D

Now that I've gotten you straight I better get working on my pieces. Had one finished last night and have had work and other things interupting my crocheting today.

I am brand new to crochet... I loved clue 1, helped to build my confidence that I could finish this CAL. Clue 2 made me nervous, but all the stitches were basic, so it took me a few hours and a few do overs to do each one but I made it through them. Clue 3 made me panic when saw the pattern and had trouble reading the instruction... it took all afternoon, a few rip outs, watching the video for the tr2tg a few times, but in the end I think it might be easier than clue 2! 1 down and 5 to go...

Finally finished the first motif of Clue #3. It is really pretty. Have I already said that I really like all the new stitches and techniques I am learning in this Crochet Along? Well, if not, I am saying it now.

 You DO deserve it!

By the way, AC Moore is my favorite place to buy yarn. They know me by name in there!

uh oh, I bet you have a good stash of yarn. I was trying to get rid of the yarn I have so I can buy brand new yarn. Then I felt my friends Waverly yarn and had to go get me some. :)

I finally got a chance to try clue 3 tonight and got the first one done. Never read a chart before but am finding them quite helpful. Like every pattern that is complicated to me I just do one stitch at a time until it starts to maek sense. The chart helped make sure I was on track.

Hi guys! :hellogoodbye:

Just thought I'd mention this in case it might help others. The color I had such a difficult time with for clue 2 And only endeded up with 9" is coming out nicely for clue 3.

For clue 2, I decided to try a different color and did some extended double crochets and got the 11". So for clue 3, I crocheted loose and for the last 2 rows I did extended double crochet and guess what? 11" Woo hoo!!!

Here's a YouTube video in case someone needs to know how to do it. http://m.youtube.com/#/watch?desktop_uri=%2Fwatch%3Fv%3Dm-5iyH_mj7s&v=m-5iyH_mj7s&gl=US

I'm loving this mystery Cal. It's so much fun! Ok, off to do some more crocheting!

Thanks! I ran through it and saw that it is correct on my end! Though you did give me a run for my money with the "RED" statement! I was looking for red text in the pattern -- Think I need some late afternoon coffee before I pick up my hook again! :D

 Sorry about the red. Just wanted to make sure you could see the correction here.
