I'm not answering questions about round 4, 5, 6, or 7 yet, because I'm still figuring them out myself.

But, I'm not giving up! I WILL figure this thing out.
I'm looking at the chart a lot, because it makes things clearer to me than the written directions.

On the 4th round, in the next to last line, it says "1 sc in the next dc," which is how you kind of tie off that stretch that goes around the point. Shouldn't it be 1 sc in the next SC? That is how it looks on the diagram.

in round 4, after you do the 3ch to go around the point you will do a sc in next sc, then, chain 1, then skip the hdc and sc in next dc.

so you're right, you do one sc in the next sc, but it's written in the pattern that way:
"Ch 3.Working across opposite side of point, 1 sc in next sc. Ch 1.
Miss next hdc. 1 sc in next dc."

Actually, I'm talking about the part that comes after that. It reads "Miss next hdc. 1 sc in next dc. Ch 1. Miss next dc. 1 sc in next dc. Miss next dc.** 1 sc in next dc. That part in bold is what I have a question about. After you come all the way around the point and down to the bottom (and before you start going around the next point), it says to 1 sc in next dc. But the diagram shows that 1 sc in an sc, not a dc.

stpete is, imo, correct. round 4 should read:

CH 1. 1 sc in same sp as last sl st. *Working into rem loops up side of point from last rnd, (Miss next ch, 1sc in next ch. CH1) twice. Miss next ch.1 sc in next ch. Ch 3. Working across opposite side of point, 1 sc in next sc. Ch1. Miss next hdc. 1 sc i next dc. Ch 1. Miss next dc. 1 sc in next dc. Miss next dc** 1 sc in next SC...

in other words, where it reads "1 sc in next dc" at the end of the round, it should read "1 sc in next sc". this is the sc you connected the previous round's "point" to the ring with.

other opinions?

Are there other newbies out there that looked at this clue with dread? I'm 5.5 for 6 of Clue 2. I didn't realize the clues would be this complicated. I am intent on finishing this project but at this rate July is looking good!

Would this not look better with different colors so show off the flower. I don't understand why we are making them solid colors.
