Crochet-Along Clue 5

I decided to order one more skein of my MC. I only have 1skein and a little bit left of the 2nd skein. Seeing that we have to make 2 more octagons plus seaming and border with the MC, I know I don't have enough. Not sure about the other skeins. They are just a shade under 1 skein each.

I do have 2 skeins of color B but I'm guessing I'll be using them next week. I hope anyway.

I ran out and bought 2 more of my MC, probably will not need two but didn't want to chance it. I picked up one more of B and C only because they had them. Like others have said, a throw pillow to match would be nice!

I want to use what I have left over for the top of my mermaid tears purse, but I had to order my yarn, so if I use it all up and then run out, I'm in trouble.

Can you answer that question, or will it ruin the mystery?

I just ordered more yarn for my two CAL afghans....will be at my house in a week which will work great. I am getting excited to see what the next clue is even though I haven't totally finished Clue #5 (ran out of one color). Will be working on my other CAL afghan until either the octagons are done or I run out of yarn.

You will need some of the A color for seaming.

Okay, clue 5 is done (I have a "Granny" so that might be why I like doing granny squares). My 2nd blanket needs some serious catch-up... guess I know what I'll be doing tonight & Tuesday night. I had originally ordered an extra skein of each color so I'm good on yarn. I did have to go down a hook size on this clue which was the 1st time for me (so far).

Ok so here is where I stand on my yarn...

I was concerned about my MC too. I have 1/2 skein left. Then my daughter told me I only bought 4 skeins of it. oops. But it does allow me to go back to the craft store.

I am all caught up. Just have to finish up clue #5. #4 took a lot to finish but it was manageable. Love this CAL. My daughter, niece and nephew are all trying to claim this one.

Nice to have everything caught up for a change. Enjoying making blanket for new grandchild coming in May. Can't wait until Wednesday for new clue.
