I love this clue. Sad it's the last motif. But very fun once I figured out the cluster. I was reading the order wrong. Took me several attempts to figure it out.

But here's my first one in my Color B - Porcelain Red.

Pretty! It wasn't easy, but it went much faster than that little punk from last week, and was much more interesting and fun to make.

Seriously??! I thought this crochet mystery was for beginners? I have had to cheat on three clues already because mine didn't come out. Well, it is getting better now that I know how to read the spoilers page symbols. I thought this would be relaxing, but it's hard work until now. And then someone posted there is a mistake??? Done with my rant, now here I go on clue 6..... :helpme:

Does anyone else not like the way their internal structure is turning out because of that dtr? :hrmm:

It just looks so out of place with the rest of the nice rounded "petals" of the flower. I'm seriously considering changing the end of round 1 from "CH6. Join with dtr to first sc" to "CH11. Join with sl st to to first sc. bo." Then starting round 2 at a sc (which it already does) and re-joining my yarn with a sl st and continuing on with the pattern.
Am I insane? Or is anyone else really diliking that one stitch?

And I just realized it was rnd 7 I was referring to, not 6, even in the chart it looks awkward. I may fiddle with it on my next motif...

I know exactly what you mean. What I tried, was at the beginning of rnd 7 I slip stitched my way to the chain 3 space, and started my rnd with a single crochet in that space instead. It makes everything look even.

This one looks neat but I am definitely crocheting too loosely now. The center flower is too floppy so I think if I just tighten up the chains it will be ok. I haven't been blocking and I am sure once this is attached to other pieces it will be fine. It looks like everyone else's so I am happy with it :) .

Good job everyone! Now, 11 more to go....

I think the person that posted that earlier was referring to her own mistake...not a mistake in the pattern.

No, you are not insane; I thought the same thing when I finished off round one. I understand why we are putting in the dtr so we are at the top of the petal; but it definitely doesn't give you a nice even finish.

Laina wrote:Hi Nicolep,

Right........... You will be going in from the side, because you're going backwards instead of forwards so to speak, so you're going fully inside the sc, but coming inside the stitch from the side. I was thinking that folks were confused and wanted them to know to still crochet fully into the stitch. :-)

Thanks,
Laina :knit:

I gotcha! I misunderstood what you meant.
