Also! Make sure to do the chain 3 during the cluster! I forgot the first time round and boy was it way off!
And like Clue 1, this one will really need to be blocked to make it beautiful.
It looks very wonky for now. Don't think I skipped or made mistakes.
This one was a lot more fun to make, kept me thinking, unlike the last clue

My problem is with Rnd 7. "...Miss last cluster, sc and ch-3 sp. Join with sl st to first sc." This does not continue the pattern of that round. It leaves out the "sc in the next ch-3 sp" since we missed it to sl st to the first sc. Also, the ch-2 at the beginning of Rnd 8, the one that "does not count as hdc", doesn't look quite right when compared to the other sides of the octagon, that side has more stitches than the other seven sides.

And I just realized it was rnd 7 I was referring to, not 6, even in the chart it looks awkward. I may fiddle with it on my next motif...
I know exactly what you mean. What I tried, was at the beginning of rnd 7 I slip stitched my way to the chain 3 space, and started my rnd with a single crochet in that space instead. It makes everything look even.

Yay you understood me! Maybe they didn't include the slip stitches cuz it was too hard for many people in previous clues and they were tired of all the constant *itching!
I did what you did on my second, sort of, I slipped backwards into the last chain three and slipped to the centre. Included a photo of what my first (peach) motif and second (green)looked like in the same area. You should be able to see the difference. Looks a tidge chunky, but I prefer that over the peach motif .
I tried pointing my tails to the trouble spot.
I don't think the chain 2/HDC is any more awkward than a chain one followed by a single crochet in other rounds/motifs.

Gotta say I haven't even started this clue and I am already annoyed. Hopefully it will all work itself out in the end. Grumble Grumble...
