It's not really that wonky, seaming should straiten it up pretty.

It just looks so out of place with the rest of the nice rounded "petals" of the flower. I'm seriously considering changing the end of round 1 from "CH6. Join with dtr to first sc" to "CH11. Join with sl st to to first sc. bo." Then starting round 2 at a sc (which it already does) and re-joining my yarn with a sl st and continuing on with the pattern.
Am I insane? Or is anyone else really diliking that one stitch?

I used all dc on the final round including an extra dc in the sc between the chain spaces ( so it makes 13 dc, ch 2 repeat around). It doesn't look like it will need blocking, yay!
