I agree, I never would have picked this one to work on had I known what it would end up as. Saying that, I feel I have learned many new stitches and am nearly over my fear of seaming!
The overall design is growing on me and I really feel unless it is kept on the back of a chesterfield or a bed that no one will ever really see the full design at once. If it is folded you won't see it all, if it is on you I imagine it being tucked in and crinkled that again you won't see everything at one time.
I would also like to point out they never ever gave us colour suggestions for this, the tutorial was pointing out how you might like to pick colours. But there were never any official suggestions in there.
Yes, they did. There were suggested colors from each "family" on one of the original PDF links from the color tutorial. That's how I picked mine.
