Thank you. Love the little hair clip idea! The little claws really grip the yarn. This forum is so great. Crochet has mostly been a solitary thing for me, but the tips and ideas shared here are just wonderful. :bravo: :hellogoodbye:

Very glad we had last week off. I had no intention of blocking but seeing we had time off decided to black a couple of the motifs that weren't quite the right shape. They turned out so well I ended up blocking the whole thing.
Now I have two rows sewn together. I find it very tedious.
I will be lucky to have it done by Wednesday.

Well this has been a fun and exciting adventure for me - way outside my comfort zone but it was good for me. I laid out all my pieces and decided that I needed to rearrange it a little and then I discovered that although I liked one color I picked, I did not like it when arranged with the others. Right now I am re-doing a few of the pieces in a new color to better get the look I want.

All good thoughts to you and your family, Alley.

You might want to check out the edging in this pattern.
Looks like you should be making some decreases too.

I figured there would be decreases in the corners and had planned on doing that...thanks for the link though, I really appreciate it! I am also thinking about waiting to see what Bernat has planned on for the boarder and then do my own if I don't like it. I am trying to decide if I want to make it a rectangle boarder using long stitches (dc, tc or dtc) to make all the edges even. Again I am going to wait to make that decision until after I see what Bernat has up it's sleeves for us. I am not thrilled with the end result, but think it is beautiful all at the same time...I moved the popcorn motifs to around the edges to make it look more like a frame and to break up all the white that I used as my MC. In the end I am sure I will love it though. Wow, that was a lot of words to just say thanks!
