Well I finally finised my blanket. I tried and retried different borders and finally I'm happy with it. I confess I did not come up with the layout, but saw it on the Blanket Possibilities thread and really liked it. My colors look well with my living room and I'm very happy with my blanket. It's been alot of fun!
Colors are Birch White, Greek Sea, Aqua Frost, Colonial Beige and Bark. Now here's hoping my picture works

Just popped over from the KAL to see what the CAL-ers created, and I think your blanket is beautiful ! Maybe next time I will do the CAL instead....

Here is my completed second afghan. I did two rows of single crochet around the outside, per Bernat's original directions to not detract from the great motifs in the afghan.

It still needs washed and dried but I am finished with the crochet part . This is an experience I would repeat. Thank you Bernat. and thank you to all the stitchers who shared their ideas and photos, questions and advice. This has been great.
