I've been having trouble with picresize so I had to resort to another site and I'm not sure how reliable it is.
I apologize in advance if it is too big. I sampled it and my photo looks really blurry.

Wow! I love your colors, layout, and how your border just pulls the whole blanket together. In other words, this is just absolutely gorgeous. :bravo:

Your first picture is a bit blurry; but still clear enough for us to see your layout. This looks really nice; I also like the border that you added. How did you do the last row?

Thanks kodikins,
I did a single crochet round once with each color than I used one of my stash yarns with a darker shade of purple and I did 7sc, 5dc shell, skip 5, 7sc and repeated that configuration until finished with a slip stitch into the corner. I think the border was needed. One row of sc around just wasn't enough for me.

I confess I did not come up with the layout, but saw it on the Blanket Possibilities thread and really liked it. My colors look well with my living room and I'm very happy with my blanket. It's been alot of fun!
Colors are Birch White, Greek Sea, Aqua Frost, Colonial Beige and Bark. Now here's hoping my picture works :)

Oh, I love it! :bravo:

Thanks Shandeh :) Thank you too for posting the link on how to post pictures on the site. That helped me alot. I always enjoy reading your comments because you are always so friendly and encouraging.

PS I can finally reply to people because if I post this successfully, it means I've finally figured out how you guys are always quoting back and forth to each other :)

Just popped over from the KAL to see what the CAL-ers created, and I think your blanket is beautiful ! Maybe next time I will do the CAL instead....

Thanks Janetlha! I'm quite happy with how it turned out.

There are so many beautiful blankets and stories to go along with them and so many friendly people here. Thank you Bernat and all you ladies for making this such a fun place to share our love of crochet! Though I've been crocheting for about 16 years, I have learned alot here.

Having finished my blanket I sat watching tv with my hubby last night and my hands felt empty with nothing to work on after being so busy the last couple of months. My hubby of course said that now I could focus on the tv show :) I wanted to start a baby blanket for a lady in my church who is expecting, but the baby is due soon and I'm having hand surgery next Monday so I don't think I'll be crocheting for a bit . . . but it is my left hand so maybe I wouldn't need to use it as much. Instead I covered myself with my pretty new blanket and enjoyed the show.

Sorry to hear about your hand I hope it isn't serious. Cute story tho
sounds like your husband is like mine. I was working on my border all day today and hubby says aren't you done yet? I just glared. I know I'll feel the loss too.

Kelly

I gave in and started the baby blanket yesterday even though it won't be finished before the surgery. It's minor surgery, well a short procedure anyway, and I'm hoping the recovery time isn't too long. But if the surgery works it will be nice to crochet, play with my 4 yr old and even do dishes without pain! It's been 3 years since I injured it.

I see your glare at your hubby must have worked because your blanket is all done and pictures posted. It's very pretty!

Hi crafter 111,Thank you, For the border I made a couple of sc rows, and then a row of 3 petal flower and a row of cluster on top of and between the petal. Here is a close up photo. If you want more info on how the flowers and the clusters were made just let me know

lialab, wow, your blanket is beautiful! :bravo: :inlove: I love that border, I'd like to know more info on the flowers and clusters.

Thank you crochet fanatic  I'll be posting the info a little later today
