Hi, Thanks to all for sharing. It's been a real pleasure reading the posts and seeing all the beautiful afghans. I don't know how you guys and gals find the time for all the posting (with all the crocheting going on!) but I am oh-so-glad you do! So maybe I'll share a bit too.....

Thanks, Azim. The doggy is super--shelter rescue "Muttagree"--great companion and helper. This has been lots of fun and will certainly do the next one!!!

Finally finished my firsrt CAL!

Very pretty, harleyschewtoy (what a descriptive name)! It reminds me of coloring on a white page--very fond memories since I still color if I am stressed!!!

Shandeh has a nice little guide on posting pictures under the KAL/CAL Chatter section. As for commenting on the pictures, I would find the picture you'd like to comment on and then near the top right hand side of that person's post is a "Quote" button (I just recently noticed it!). Click on that and then you can write your message under their quote and submit.

I'm not so great at explaining, but I hope that was somewhat helpful

I thought I was finished, but after seeing lialab's afghan border, I decided to add that to my afghan.

So, I added another sc row and the flowers she described how to make. I don't have anywhere to lay it all out right now, but here's a photo of part of it:

This is how I did my border:

First 2 rows: sc around

Next row, (3 petal flower, color A): slip st first 4 st working back loop, in next st, (1sc, 3ch, 1tr, 3ch, 1sc, 3ch, 1tr, 3ch, 1sc, 3ch, 1tr, 3ch, 1 sl st.(flower made)
*slip stitch next 9 sts working back loop, in next st. (1sc, 3ch, 1tr, 3ch, 1sc, 3ch, 1tr, 3ch, 1sc,, 3ch 1tr, 3ch, 1sl st* repeat* * around ending with 5 sl st working back loop. break color A

Next row (cluster color B): 1sl st in first sl st of last row, 4 ch, 1sl st on top of first petal, 4ch, 2trtog, 1 sl st on top of 2nd petal, 4 ch, 2trtog, 1 sl st on top of 3rd petal, 4ch, skip next 4 sl st, *in next sl st,1sc, 2 ch, 1dc, 3ch, 1 sl st, 4 ch, 1 sl st on top of first petal, 4ch, 2tr tog, 1sl st on top of second petal, 4 ch, 2 trtog, 1 sl st on top of 3rd petal 4 ch, skip next 4 sl st.* Repeat* * around ending with 1sc, 2ch, 1dc, 3ch, 1 sl st in first sl st of beg of row. break off!

It was my pleasure, but to get the record straight, it is not my design at least not all of it, I was inspired by a border I found in an old book!! and I am glad to share it, I think it fits so well with that kind of project

Except for tucking seaming ends, I am finished--I love the way it turned out and even though it is shades of blue, it is very feminine. Thanks Bernat--this has been tons of fun!!!!

Hi crafter 111,Thank you, For the border I made a couple of sc rows, and then a row of 3 petal flower and a row of cluster on top of and between the petal. Here is a close up photo. If you want more info on how the flowers and the clusters were made just let me know
