Finished! I added a column and a couple rows to cover me from chin to toes. I changed the final clue (navy) and love it so much.

Edging was simple 3 rows of dc.

I had a great time doing this CAL, my very first afghan and first large project made for myself.

I finally finished! This has been so much fun to be apart to the CAL for my first full size afgan. I have learned so much from Bernat and all of the talented crocheters on this forum. Thanks for all the insights and conversations on layouts, colors and life.

Love your blanket and think your border is super!!! Please do post the pics of the chemo hats--unfortunately, there is always a need. Best of luck to your sis-in-law.

I was excited to see the flower pattern because my inspiration was a flowered coverlet. It was too perfect! The SC boarder in the MC didn’t work for me so I pulled it out and changed the colors to match the pieces I was surrounding. I did the first SC in the back loop but when around the second time with a SC in the center of the stitch (not sure the technical terms for that). I am really happy with the 1” boarder it created. Thank you to Bernat for putting this together and to all of you for your help and support!!
:bravo:

You did a great job matching your fabric; they are going to look so great together in your finished project. :bravo:

Here is the border. My dog, Zoe, seems to like it! I noticed another blanket with my dog on it, anyway it sure looked like her! gruvey9 blue.jpg

Oh, Zoe looks so nice and comfy! I bet she wondering if you made that gorgeous blanket for her. I love your braided border; it adds such a nice touch.

Congratulations of finishing your first afghan; your layout looks really nice. It reminds me of a field of sunflowers. :bravo:

Don't know if this will work, but here's hoping it does.
Colors: MC-Birch White
A: Fresh Flower
B: Breath of Blue
C: Mauve Glow
D: Greek Sea

Obviously, it didn't work. Oh, well!!!
