I love you border!! How do you do the seed stitch?

There are a couple of different patterns that are called seed stitch. The one I used is a repeat of (sc in next st, ch 1, skip next st). You repeat the same pattern on the following rows with the sc going into the ch 1 spaces.

I am not near done with my afghan but I have to say that I have really enjoyed keeping up with everyone's rogress. The final projects are beautiful and when you put all the effort and creativity into a piece, whoever uses it will feel the love. Thanks all for sharing. I hope Bernat continues to offer events as this, I have learned a great deal. I hope this forum stays intact for awhile so more finished afghans can be seen.

That is gorgeous!!! I totally agree with the other posters that commented it reminds me of a stained glass window and I love how the white edging makes it pop. Nice job :bravo:

Here's mine. I decided to go with contrast B for the border because I wanted it to show up all the way around and B is the only colour that doesn't go out to the edge of the afghan.

I love the way this turned out--I especially like the color choice for the border!! I haven't had time to start putting mine together yet and now I am seriously considering using your layout to finish it up!! Thanks so much and I hope your grandson loves it as well!!

I used an alternate border as SC around is super boring
Arcade Edge

Beautiful border! I like how it softens the edges.

How obvious is the mistake? Would anyone notice but you? Does it affect your ability to seam the motifs together? If not, just keep going forward. :)

It's pretty obvious - I think i created an extra side on one of my Clue 6 squares but didn't notice right away. I seamed it into my rows and it seemed fine (because i was deliberately blissfully ignorant). but now that i have to seam my rows together there's just too much motif! I'm going to have to unseam the rows around it and redo the motif. Hence, timeout until this weekend. My fingers are on a crochet vacation.

I was thinking about doing the same thing. I've seen a couple of ideas I love though so now I'm not sure what I'm going to do.. :hrmm:
