If so I think I will have to find out how to do it.

I think blocking is a personal preference thing. I've never blocked squares for an afghan, but several crafters block everything they make. So, it's your decision whether you block or not.

Me too !! The idea and timing of this is perfect for me. I just chose colors on what appealed to me at the time and made sure I ordered plenty. Got the yarn today and I must say it is going to be interesting. What a great "gift" we'll be giving ourselves right ???

Have fun with this everyone.

Thank you Shandeh!! I think I will just go without blocking since I have never done it before!

Blocking is not strictly necessary, but it helps with the seaming. There is plenty of help here and on the web.

You and me both, my friend! I only block when things don't fit together right. But, most of the time, they work out just fine.

I just ordered my yarn for the CAL. I'm making it for my 7 yo daughter so she picked out the colors. We're going with Fresh Flower (MC), Princess, Mauve Glow, Blue Gown and Birch White. I'm just picking up crocheting after not doing it for a few years. I'm excited to get started again. ~Brenda
