Tizzy Yarn

Postby marecoll43 » Wed Jan 16, 2013 5:04 pm

I purchased Tizzy yarn and proceeded to make the sweater on the back of the label. The pattern calls for size 10 needle and is made in one piece. Does it call for a circular needle or straight needle? Thank you

Are you making the cardigan or the pullover?
The cardigan can be worked on a straight needle and also the pullover is to be worked on straight needles.

I'm making the pullover. I started to knit on straight needlesand wondered if you make one front and one back and sew them together?

That's what I thought at first too, until I reread the pattern. You start on the bottom back then follow pattern and increase for sleeves. Follow pattern for neck shaping and then you will be continuing on but you will be doing the front from the neck down. From what I can see the pattern is correct. Years ago I made a sweater this way. Any more problems let the forum know so you can get help. Look forward to seeing a photo of your finished sweater. What colour are you making?

Never thought to start making the sweater from the neck down after making it from the bottom up. I'm making the blue for my grandson who is 18 months. Thanks for clarifying this.

A little bit more than half done. Will show the completed sweater when done. Thanks for all your help.

Just finished the tizzy sweater. Thought you would like to see the results. I made it in size 18 months. I used a smaller needle and swatched but it looks a little bigger than 18 months. I'll know when I try it on the baby. Had fun making this and would use the material again for another project. Simple and easy. Thanks for your help.

You did a great job. :bravo: I love it. Even if it's a bit big now babies have a way of growing way too fast.
I actually love all the bright colours in the Tizzy line. Glad to hear that you enjoyed making the sweater
