I'm still waiting for my waverly yarn :( It's taking a long time, too bad I'm not patient.

Shandeh, that cardigan is gorgeous! Thanks for sharing the photo. Now I know I have to make one! Is that Lavender or Stardust in Satin? One reason I haven't made it yet is that I could never decide on a color. But I really want to start working with Waverly, so I'm going to make it in Breath of Blue...or Pink Suede...or Birch White...or Aqua Frost.

I'm glad you like it! :D

I knit my cardigan with Bernat Satin in Lavender. The knot stitch was time-consuming, but made a lovely fabric.

Waverly for Bernat “Lifestyles".

Postby karenarp » Mon Feb 13, 2012 11:15 am

"BB: Waverly fabrics and Waverly for Bernat yarns are organized into “lifestyles.” What are these, and why does Waverly organize its products this way?

AN: Our lifestyles are a simple way of describing the Waverly home decor styles. We all have very different tastes when it comes to our homes and decorating, so we have captured six ‘themes’ or ‘looks’ and most of us fit into a particular category.

BB: Currently Waverly for Bernat offers four lifestyles: Past Perfect, Beautiful Things, Town and Country, and Simplicity."

The above is a snippet from the Waverly interview.

I am interested in knowing if Bernat has any intention of ever making the two other themes (Lifestyles) into yarn? Do either of the other two themes (Lifestyles) contain purples?

I am a purple lover and a Waverly lover, combine the two and I don't know how I could resist buying them ever!

Waverly Yarn

Postby knitrik » Thu Feb 16, 2012 8:11 am

Ok, so I am now into my third skein of Waverly and all three skeins have had joins in them (you know, where you find the yarn tied together which causes you to backtrack to beginning of row, cut out knot, and rejoin new yarn)! This is getting pretty frustrating. First time using this yarn and I am thinking maybe I should have substituted something ese for this Waverly. Has anyone else run into this so many times already? I would have expected it once or twice in my whole bag of skeins, but in EVERY skein so far? UGH!!!!!!!

I'm sorry you are having that problem! I rolled all my skeins into balls and I didn't have any like that. I know what you mean - I don't like when my yarn is like that.

That's no good. I'm sorry that has happened to you.
Did you try contacting Bernat about it?

No, I did not. Didn't think there was much they could do about it - I have already knit a few squares. I was wondering if I was in for more problems as I get further into my skeins, but maybe I just picked the wrong few to start with. Love the feel of the yarn - just hate that there are these "joins"!
