It really is lovely. Often so many patterns have such a decorative front, and the back is so plain which is so disappointingto me. Also, don't know, but just guessing, that the cabling in the back helps the seat of the coat from stretching all out of shape like happens with so many long items. I guess you can tell I am really taken with this pattern, especially the use of the cabling design serving so many functions. Almost wants me to learn to try and knit! Thanks for posting the photo too....You did such a lovely job crafting your warm coat!
