Free pattern downloads and the internet will be the death of me. I keep finding gorgeous patterns on line and I want them ALL.

Thank god for computers and the ability to save great gobs of data on a small external hard drive because I swear, without exaggeration, if I had all these patterns printed on paper they would fill my house to the roof.

I can't keep up. I'm knitting and crocheting (crochetting?) as fast as I can and I CAN'T keep up. Every day I find 5 more patterns of things I want to make. *sighs*

I'm driving myself batty!! :scared:

My new favorite thing is Pinterest. I have soooo many crochet patterns saved on there. But, I've been doing a few of them too. So nice to be able to "pin" instead of "bookmark" so they are accessible on any computer I'm on. I can even pull them up on my Kindle Fire.

I have knitting ones too, but I can only loom knit. One of these days I will learn to needle knit. :knit:

I'm with you! I'm on Pinterest every day, and I'm following several crocheters, so there's always something new. I love having things pinned in one place, because before, I could never remember where I saw them.

I'm a pattern hoarder in my house!! I have boxes of patterns and binders full of patterns neatly organized. They go back to the '70's but most of the are from the '80's and early 90's (before I had internet). The best part is that since I joined this forum I am looking at these patterns with new eyes. Now I know I can do some of the projects better than ever because I have discovered the power of blocking and measuring!!! :cloud9:

I'm sorry your computer died! I've gone through that myself. Thank God I had all my patterns on a CD backup.

I have learned something recently. Those new little USB storage devices (flash drives) hold a LOT!!! They can carry what I used to put on 4 CDs! (maybe even more....)

So, invest in a couple of those little things, and you'll be able to backup stuff very easily.

Thanks, I have now invested into USB devices. this is the worst case scenario that could have happened since I already knew about those things but I just posponed buying them

This is an excellent reminder/suggestion! My desktop and favorites in toolbar are full and there are several blank jump drives somewhere in this house! When/if I finish clue#4 this week, my project will be to save things on them! One for crochet patterns, etc. and one for animal pictures. Thanks for the reminder....
