I also bought the Knook a couple of months ago and haven't gotten to try it out yet. I been doing the Cal and making the mermaid purses. Sounds like your having fun. Thanks for the Leisurearts.com. I love a challange and can't wait to try it. Maybe after I finish the Cal and finish lining the 4 purses I'll find some time. I like just about anything to do with yarn and like to try new things. I've been doing the CAL and have done one of the Mermaid purses. My little sister has decided she needs a purse like mine so I guess I'll be working on another one soon.

just starting my gadget collection & stilll listening to everyone about what's what.

I am storing my stuff in a canvas stand by art bin with slots for hooks & needles (really was for pencils, etc) and several flat storage areas on the other side in varrying sizes. It has a handle on top and velcro tabs & straps on the sides.

I mentioned this in another part of the forum, and figure it should be mentioned here as well.

When seaming knitted or crocheted pieces together, I use tiny hair clips for holding the pieces together temporarily. Very inexpensive, and they work great.

**Update 15 April 2012** I purchased one of these last night. So far it seems like it's going to do okay. I really like the way it sets in my hand. I have lost some speed but that should pick up again as I get used to using it. It really really really affects my gauge!!! I crochet so much looser with it. The one downside that I see is that the hook wants to wiggle just a bit. I'm not sure how to fix this issue, but you can guarantee that I will try to find a way. I'm thinking an extra o-ring or something might help....we'll see. I've got a project going right now that I have to finish before I really put it to the test so I'll let ya'll know how it progresses after using it some more!!!!

I'm not sure. I may do a quick search and see if I can find any. If nothing else I may just bite the bullet and spend the 6 or 7 dollars and give it a try.

Good idea! But, some people would probably need a way to lock it, so their pets wouldn't advance the counter. Ha!

Or toddlers on the loose!! I have to put my sewing machine pedal up after each use instead of leaving it under the sewing machine table because William likes to sit under there and press it and make "vroom vroom" noises. I'm pretty sure he'd do the same thing with a foot pedal type row counter too!!!!!
