Softee Baby Baby Booties look cool! Every time I ever tried making booties they never turn out. So maybe, just maybe, if I work with others at the same time I can make a pair! And bonus, my sister just had a baby so they may even fit it if they turn out fine this time. They are sized for higher than newborn right?
:P

Yes, they come in TWO sizes: 3-6 months, and 12-18 months
Here's the pattern: http://www.bernat.com/pattern.php?PID=4732

ahh, thank you!
love this line:
With 1 ball of yarn you can make approx 12 pair of booties.
How awesome is that? You can make one for a baby you know then 11 more for charity. I Know Spinrite has a donation box, and they used to have a promotion that if you brought in a handmade baby item you would get a discount or an entry to win a basket of goodies. Can't quite remember, since I always forget to bring the items I have made when I go. Maybe when we go later next week for their new giant ball tent sale I will remember to bring in all the hats I made two years ago!

Good plan!
I adore knitting and crocheting for charity. I couldn't tell you how many things I have made and donated. It's just so satisfying, isn't it?

I think I will start the second CAL later this week.
I've been stuck in bed sick for the past four days, so I can't do it right now.

Stay tuned for the Baby Booties CAL! :)

SHendah, where did you get your lighted crochet hooks? I've been looking for them and can't find them!

My lighted hooks are called Crochet Lite hooks. I got mine in the clearance aisle at AC Moore a couple years ago. You can still buy them online. Even right here in the Bernat Shop! http://shop.bernat.com/default.aspx?PageID=218
