twenty - five years ago I made a scrap blanket with granny squares. Then 16 years ago I made another scrap blanket with stripes. I sewed them together so it is an extra heavy blanket. I put a square on the striped side to fold up the blanket into a cushion! For the granny blanket, just divide your scraps into dark and light colours and go for it, making 1/2 the square light and 1/2 dark. I showed it to a friend ( a guy ) twenty five years ago and he said it was the ugliest thing he had ever seen!!!I just know that no one will say that here!

I have the fabric to do the quilt, but I'm a much better crocheter than quilter so I think this may win and I'll find some other creative use for the quilt pieces!!!
