Need your help to find a pattern

Postby karenarp » Mon Oct 22, 2012 10:50 am

I had bought a whole bunch of Waverly when Michaels was getting rid of it but had no idea what I would be making with it. I have made 2 afghans so far using the stash and would like to make a final one with the left over balls. So, here is where I need help. Can you think of an afghan pattern that uses Worsted weight yarn? The colours have to be able to be divided up between 4, 3, 2 and 1 ball.
I know a pattern must exist and I am sure someone here has seen it!
I wish when we hunted for patterns we could search balls used!
Thank you so much for your help.

You can search Bernat's free patterns for blankets using Super Value, Handicrater Cotton, Waverly, or Satin yarns. There are also several excellent pattern books available for those yarns, and the books can easily be purchased as PDF downloads in the Bernat Shop. I'm sure someone at Bernat Customer Support could help you find just the right pattern for your Waverly yarn. Inquire@bernat.com

Waverly Pattern Books
Super Value Blankets in Pattern Books
Handicrafter Cotton Blankets in Pattern Books
Satin Blankets in Pattern Books

If you see a Bernat Pattern book you want to purchase, just click the "Buy Online" button, and you will see two options for purchase. You can buy a hard copy, which will be mailed to you. Or, you can buy a PDF download.

I decided to make a different kind of blanket with these balls. It is a very old pattern from a book that I fell in love with but didn't think I would ever get the yarn for it. I decided I would take my chances since it was a sort of round blanket to just work till I ran out. I made the very centre granny square section using scraps from my Larksfoot blanket then worked the rest of the blanket with my left over ten balls. I ended up with just a few scraps left over and most of a blue ball.

My hubby found the border pattern in one of our other books - I was sick of hunting for one. :P I think it almost looks like ribbon running through it! Cool effect eh

I started last Wednesday and finished tonight, so basically a week to make! The little corners took as long as the main body! Holy cow!

So here it is, my modified crochet rainbow blanket:
(924 grams)
