It is possible to unravel knitting from the bottom, but the first row is very frustrating, because it has to be done very carefully, one stitch at a time. And then, you have the problem of how to recreate and CONNECT the new knitting to the piece. The only real option I know of is to cut the project at the part where the problem ends, and reknit the bottom, then connect it with kitchener stitch. But that takes more time than just knitting the whole square again. Good luck!
