Crochet in the Round

I am attempting my first baby dress and now I'm at a standstill. The pattern says crochet in the round do not turn. I'm completely confused b/c all I've ever made were blankets. Please help!

Hi Retin, crocheting in the round is just what it says and without turning, your right side is always facing out. A great tip is to place a stitch marker in the first stitch of the round, so you know when you finish that round. Also, look on YouTube for videos showing how it done. That is where I go to found out how to do a new stitch or refresh my memory of a previously learned stitch.

if it makes it easier to visualize....when crocheting in the round, you start with a ring instead of a single straight line of chains. Usually you do a chain, then make that chain into a ring by slip stitching the last ch to the first ch. So...the next "round", you ch up, and crochet along the ring, returning back to where you started.
