Help with Baby Jacquards Ruffle Hat (crochet)

I am relitavely new to crocheting (self taught) and do not have anyone to ask for help from.

I am making the "Bernat Baby Jaczuards Ruffle Hat (to crochet)"

Just finished the 11th round and do not understand what to do next. Do I go back to the 8th round? Do I do the alt rnds again only What do they mean by alternate rounds?
Whey did it skip the 10th round
What exactly does the 12th rnd want?

Plese help me understand this pattern.

Follow those instructions on row 8 for every alternating round (row 10, 12, 14, etc would be the same as 8). Follow instructions for round 11 exactly as written. Once you get to the end of the instructions, go back to where the row has an * symbol. Symbols like this indicate that you repeat everything from that symbol forward. Usually it will say until x st remain on row (less than 1 complete *repeat, and then will x number of dc in last x st, join to first st with a slip st etc. Does that make sense? - Audrey
