Having trouble with the Yin/Yang Cables Blanket

Postby momguild » Tue Aug 28, 2012 6:38 pm

I really want to knit this blanket but I am having so much trouble! I have torn it our several times and today I have to start from row 1. Can someone explain how to get the stripe started? Also when I do the first cable row (8), it looks so messy. Do I only need bobbins for the contrast color? When I knit it the first time I made them for both contrast and main color and it was very hard to work with. If i don't though, I get lines on the back that make it look like Fairisle knitting. Can you tell I'm confused? Who has had succses with this blanket?
