Mosaic - Last Minute Scarf (crochet)

Just a note when the patterns reads "Fold scarf in half, working through both thicknesses, ch 1. Work 1 sc in each of next 12 sc. Turn. Place marker on last row". It means LENGTH not wideth would have been nice to have that in the directions. I printed out pattern but photo did not show so I could not see how it was to look was thinking maybe it was some new type of cowl as I was traveling so no laptop. Hubby drives I crochet
