How Do I Use This Forum?

Welcome to the Bernat Forum!

Some of you have never used a forum like this before, and you may be confused about how to get around.

I've decided to give you a little "tour", and help you get acquainted with our little world.
This is just a general overview. I will give more detail in my next posts.

To start with, here is how our main forum page looks:

MAIN FORUM PAGE

You'll notice different headings, reading from the top: Crochet Along, Knit Along, KAL/CAL Chatter.
Those three areas are where we will be having our Waverly Mystery Blanket KAL/CAL.

CROCHET-ALONG (CAL)
Those of us who are making the crocheted blanket will see most of our information in the Crochet Along area.

To get to that area of the forum, just go to the main forum page, and click the word "Crochet-Along (CAL)"
It will then open up another page, showing just the CAL information.

If you want to see all the information about the CAL, including Yarn Color Choices, Gauge, Yarn Quantities, Measurements, and CLUES, go to the One Stop Reference Page in the CAL area.

KNIT-ALONG (KAL)
Same thing goes with the Knit Along. We have a section just for those of us who are knitting a blanket this time.

Just go to the main forum page, and click the word "Knit-Along (KAL)"
It will open up the KAL area of the forum.

If you want to see all the information about the KAL, including Yarn Color Choices, Gauge, Yarn Quantities, Measurements, and CLUES, go to the One Stop Reference Page in the KAL area.

GENERAL KAL/CAL DISCUSSION
If you want to talk about the Mystery-Along, you'll find lots of different discussions going in the "KAL/CAL Chatter" area.

Just go to the main forum page, and click the words "KAL/CAL Chatter", and it will open up that page.

As you can see, we already have several discussions going. We sure do like to chat!

You might enjoy just clicking through some of those discussions. You will learn a lot about how the Mystery-Along will work. You will also get a lot of your questions answered, just by reading what others have asked about. This is a great way to learn how to use the forum, and get acquainted with all of your fellow knitters and crocheters.

You will notice that some discussions will always stay at the top of the page. These are "Sticky" topics, and are our most active or important discussions at the moment.

Okay, now that you know how to get around the forum, it's time for you to join in the discussion! We want to hear what you have to say, and look forward to getting to know you better.

Before you start a new discussion,
Be sure to check to see if a similar discussion has already been started.

If it has, just join in that discussion by scrolling down to the bottom of the page, and clicking "Post Reply"

If you can't find another discussion that is like yours, just start a new one in the appropriate part of the forums.

First, go to the section where you want to make your post, then click "New Topic" at the top of the page, to start your discussion.

Either way you choose to start talking, you will be presented with a page that looks like this:
