It's hot in my part of the world too. Absolutely miserable. I just thank God for air conditioning! I feel sorry for those who don't have it.

Last night, I added some additional rows to a big granny square I found at a thrift store. I plan on washing it, then donating it to my local children's domestic violence shelter. I love finding handmade blankets at thrift shops, that just need a little work to make them presentable to the shelter. :)

I was BURNING UP while working on the blanket, even though I had a fan blowing on me the whole time. I guess I'll have to hold off on more blanket work until the weather gets cooler.

In the mean time, I'll make socks and slippers and baby things.

Thoughts for the Day

Postby Shandeh » Mon Nov 05, 2012 5:02 pm

Here's my thought for the day:

When baking something in the oven, if I set the timer, I instinctively walk into the kitchen just before it rings. If I DON'T set the timer, I completely forget about it, and it burns. I think I will PRETEND to set the timer next time, and see what happens.
