This seems really exciting! I think I'm going to give it a shot. I already have more yarn than I know what to do with, but what can buying a little more hurt, right? :idonno: :P

I just bought my yarn at Zellers. $4.49 a skein which with conversion from USD to CDN on the website and shipping works out to pretty much the same. I checked out Michael's as well but they were only carrying the Simplicity line. Never thought of Walmart. I'll check the next time I'm in to see if it's there.

I still haven't chosen my colours. Doesn't help that I keep changing my mind.

Gosh, I changed my mind about 10 times before I finally made my decision. There are so many gorgeous colors of that new Waverly yarn!

sandyrs wrote:Hi, I would like to start the 2012 Cal. I was wondering where the best place would be to order the yarn. I live in Nova Scotia Canada. The cheapest I have found seems to be Bernat U.S. even the shipping is cheaper. Does anyone know if you pay Duty on yarn, or if there is a cheaper alternative in Canada. I have checked Mary Maxim.ca and Herrschners.ca

Mine just arrived in Halifax, Nova Scotia already!! No duty was involved. That was great service.

I have been waiting over two weeks. I had better check with that husband of mine, sometimes he leaves things in his truck!
