Thanks a bunch for posting the video of knit, purl, knit in same stitch. I really need to see how something is done. I was a little afraid to get started, but after watching, I am ready to go.

This is my first knit blanket, too. I've done several crocheted afghans, but am a beginner knitter and have only done small projects. I'm having so much fun! And I'm excited to be learning new techniques! I'm behind (only 2 squares completed), but it was Mardi Gras week here in New Orleans, so I had a lot of distractions! =^) Now that the party's over, I'm buckling down to hopefully finish both Clue 1 and Clue 2 before the third one is revealed.

Sand, I am behind because I was taking care of my 85 year old father too. I had to drive up to Maine (from NYC) unexpectedly last weekend to care for him.

This is my first time taking part in a Mystery Knit-Along, i am so excited about it and have talked about nothing else all week that three of my work mates are doing it too!! In fact we have started a little knitting group and plan to meet up at the local library twice a month. Our first meeting is Tuesday. We will be a little behind, I only picked up my wool yesterday and started my first square today.

I think reading "Knit one, Kill two" at the moment got me started on the knitting group. Anone else read that book?

You sound just like me: This is my first Mystery Knit-along too, I have three friends from work crocheting or knitting with me, and I'm from Canada! lol
I haven't read that book, but i did read a book last summer where a bunch of people were making a sampler scarf. The book had a pattern at the front and I knitted the scarf while reading the book! I have enjoyed knitting and crocheting all my life, but it's ten times the fun when you can share it with others. :cloud9:
