Now I am going to try to post my pic. I tried all day yesterday, but my computer would not let me.

Yea! it worked!

Good for you! It took me a while to get the hang of photo posting too. I don't know either if I will make 8 by Wednesday.

I think you should do what you feel like next Wednesday when you see Clue 2. You will get more done and stick with it longer if you are having fun, so do what is fun!

I wasn't sure about making 8 of the exact same thing in one week because I like variety, but I told myself to take one day at a time. Today I begin square 6 and who knows? I like to take breaks and come to the forums and read what other people are doing, and then I think about them as I knit. It's helping!

I may spend more time on the forum than knitting today, but we'll see - the day is young! Going to pick up those needles soon! :knit:

Thanks, K1p1quebec. I've been reading the forum as I knit so when I need to type something I just put them down for a moment, then pick them back up and go back to reading the forum. I think I will take your advice and just do what I am feeling like on Wed.

Happy Knitting!

Yay! I love my colors. :cloud9: My only issue is that with the first 2 blocks, I knit the tails in as I went. Doesn't look so nice at the color change. Gonna have to try to pull the tails out and weave them in the hard way. I really don't want to have to redo the blocks.

KAL color sep 003.jpg

I have finished 4 of my squares. All of them are bigger than the blocking template of 9-1/2" x 9-1/2". Two squares are on a size 8 needle and two are on a size 7 needle. The picture is of my 7 needle squares.

I love everyone's colors! Some of you have the same colors as I do just using them in a different order. It will be neat to see the different patterns :D

I'm so happy, I have one more square to make and then just wait for them to finishing blocking and I will be ready for a new clue on Wednesday. Everyone has picked some wonderful colors and it is neat seeing how we all put our color choices together and it will be very interesting to see how everything looks in the end. I am having camera problems today so I will have to show pictures at a later time.

Happy Knitting All

GOOD LUCK TO ALL MY KNITTER FRIENDS OUT THERE IN KNITTING LAND. IS ANYONE ELSE A YARNACHOLIC LIKE ME? GET ME TO THE LOCAL CRAFT STORE AND I AUTOMATICALLY HEAD (LIKE A MAGNET) TO THE YARN JUST TO SEE WHATS NEW AND I NEVER NEVER GO HOME EMPTY HANDED. OH WELL, TILL NEXT TIME. GOTTA GET THOSE NEEDLES GOING NANCY

:notworthy: Oh yes, absolutely, I am way as bad about going straight to the yarn area. Sometimes I have to ban myself from going to those stores at all because I have to deplete what I have first :knit: Happy knitting to you. I am doing the crochet along as I do not feel experienced enough to do the knit one just yet. I came to the knit along to see if it might be something I could try later. We shall see. DK

Not only the craft store, but the Bernat website, catalogs which stream to my door, and a sister-in-law who, for some strange reason, buys yarn but never knits up any of it. The could shut down all the yarn mills for 20 years and my family would still have new knits!

I am using the Waverly for my CAL but I am using stash for the KAL since I haven't ever knit an actual item. Here is my first square!

It looks really nice!!!

Love those colours together! :bravo:
Sounds like the Recliner is a good place to be and what a great reason to sit and knit!

Thanks! I am using white as my MC and 3 shades of blue for B,C, and D, and a burgundy for E. Since I am having a boy, I figure those were perfect colors to use!

One down, seven to go!

This square was completed using Bitter Rose as Contrast B, and Pink Suede for Contrast D. I think it came out great!

My color selections were based on the recommendations on the Waverly/Bernat site. So far, very pleased.

Time to make #2 :bravo:
