I did it I did it! In the photo my first successful square is being blocked so it is currently wet. I had so much trouble getting this far but I am so glad I stuck with it. You guys rock! Your advice and encouragement help me immensely and you have no idea how much I appreciate it.
1 down 7 to go!
I am not worried that I will fall behind, I knew I would going into this.
In case you are wondering the colours are TC:

Hello everyone,
How are your fingers holding up? I am steady working. Everyone is getting so much accomplished so quickly. Great Job on all the pretty squares that have been posted so far. I am a newbie and have a long way to go only have about 3 squares done so far. I live in VA and it is snowing so since tomorrow is a snow day I am going to push to catch up. Thanks to all for the great postings and the tutorial info at the forum. It really helps a new knitter like me. :knit:

Like, like, like! First time I see those two colours together! Good job! Someone posted awhile ago that it gets easier as you go. I wasn't too sure until suddenly it did!

Mine are needing a break about now! You're lucky to have a snow day! Where I live in Canada we have not had a real snowstorm for the last two years and so no snow days for the kids. All the storms seem to go further south now. My kids are complaining because the ice rinks have turned to puddles. There's something cozy about knitting while snow is falling outdoors.

That is a nice pic of what the back of the squares look like.

It was an artistic choice. So many people have their squares front facing and I wanted to be different. We're all reading the same thread, we all know what it looks like. ;)

I'm halfway through Clue 1. Here are two of my squares. They're coming faster now! I'm using Colonial Beige for Color B, Butter for C, and Greek Sea for D. It's fun to see everyone's colors!

This square was completed using Bitter Rose as Contrast B, and Pink Suede for Contrast D. I think it came out great!

My color selections were based on the recommendations on the Waverly/Bernat site. So far, very pleased.

Time to make #2 :bravo:

Very pretty!

Hey Annie - I am almost finished my 3rd square. I'm in Norfolk and the snow didn't bother showing up here :ire: :ire: I was looking forward to it so that my babies could go play in it. I knew that if we got it it wouldn't be much but still...
