Yeah, those sneaky extra stitches can be a real pain. There are a few ways you can get them by accident.
#1 - At the beginning of a new row, make sure your yarn is down at the front. Don't pull it back, or you will make an extra stitch there.
#2 - You may grab the strand of yarn between stitches by accident, and knit it.
#3 - You might think that you dropped a stitch, so you pick up the strand of yarn between the needles and knit it.
#4 - use your imagination.....there are LOTS of ways to add stitches in knitting!
