(the middle square is black, surrounded by dark grey triangles .... and around I'll have yellow triangles :hrmm: and then the red triangles dispatched contrasting in a too strong way with the white :tears: )

In fact, I'm ill today (flue), there is no sun (fog) and maybe my eyes are tired ... I'll wait !

sorry to hear you're sick, take care

hadn't thought of a sawtooth star! here's one more possibility.

Ok. I'm playing with my still unblocked squares (4 Clue 3's are now redone and perfect!), but using the idea I like best, here are the two options I have tried (slightly different). At least I am now motivated to get the other 4 Clue 3 squares redone! :inlove: :inlove:

Are there six colors in this pattern or are the blues just appearing differently?

I only see five colors.

Okay. Been playing around (hubby says it's been an hour so this is it, folks!). I think I like this combo the best of all - it's the most symmetrical I can come up with. You Can click on the thumbnail photo to open larger and access my photo folder to see the other attempts I tried but didn't like enough to post on the forum. Now for a grand tour of the garden to see what is peeking through!

Oh drat! Just one more possibility! Really got to do something else now since I've been at this all day!!! :cloud9: :knit: :knit: :knit: :knit:

REALLY beautiful ideas! I just knit and blocked my last square so its time to see if I have any artistic vision in laying them out. I'm not very confident that I am blessed with that talent though.

:bravo: Looking at the possibilities makes me realize one thing. :idonno: I have no clue what to do with mine. If there isn't a pattern to follow, I will have to use one of the many that are posted here. This is the first afghan/blanket that I have done that is in squares. Every one I have done before has been striped with a knitted pattern. I am looking forward to what can be done. :hellogoodbye:

Haha! I am SO not a quilter! That would be my mum. This is about as close as I'll ever come to doing a quilt! Making a bunch of squares that are EXACTLY the same size is so not me, which is why I had trouble making more than 4 of anything the same here and which is why I whined so much through week 3! thanks to this forum and the mystery element, I'm going to surpass my attention deficit for repetitive patterns!
