I like your strong, bold colours. I think both designs work with your colours; however, keeping in mind that your border is going to be the lighter brown (am I correct?), the first option will allow the eye to see the same colour in the middle and around the edge. With option 2, it will be more lost into the edges of the border.

thank you so much for your response. I am still struggling with the pattern.....

   Now I'm sure you have Norman ancestors !!!

Since I don't have much room to present the possibilities on the floor or on a bed, I'm now :hrmm: :hrmm: :hrmm: between 2 solutions :idonno:
But I realy must choose and sewtoday ! :scared:

Haha! My husband's last name is Marcotte, and two Marcotte brothers came to Québec from Fecamp, Normandie, in the middle 1600's. All the Québec Marcottes are descended from these two brothers. My father-in-law comes from a family of 16 children, which was normal in Québec in rural areas until the 1950's! Have you decided? I have 3 votes for the same design (one of my favourites too), so I think I am ready to move ahead tomorrow! :cloud9:

I knit but too slow for something like this. I am in the CAL instead. I have been checking on the KAL since the beginning and have to say ...beautiful work everyone. The pictures posted so far are gorgeous and I can't wait to see the finished products. I love the hand peiced quilt look :bravo:
