Knit-Along: Finished Blanket Photos

Finally finished and I hope- figured how to post a picuture !!! Really enjoyed the KAL A first time adventure- learned a lot of new stitches and ways of knitting. A challenge since I am left handed. I did several modifed verisons. Thanks to those who really inspired me - by using the borders on all sides. I worked out a patttern to knit on the top and bottom borders using the 189 stitches. Really enjoyed the KAL. The color I used were aqua frost, greek sea, blue gown, butter and birch white. Really enjoyed seeing all the great blankets -great colors and workmanship!

Yessssss! it is finished, I made a little changes and my son just love it. He said that it has a medieval look which fits his tastes.

I love it--the colors are incredible and the layout definitely looks medieval. Great job!!! Sure wish my knitting skills were better and that I had more patience knitting!

I'm almost finished, does that count? I'm going to post a picture of what I have done. I am hoping to have it completely finished by the end of May at the latest. I just can't believe I got this far. This is the first full size afghan I have knitted. Yea!!!

Absolutely gorgeous! Love those colours! Looks like a spring flower in the middle. Great borders, too.

I enjoyed knitting along with my sister. Liked learning new patterns and stitches, really liked the border. Originally selected a darker rose (Porcelein Red) instead of the yellow but when the yarn came it was a little orangey. I did have a full skein of the yellow (border and middle blocks) left over.

Thanks to Bernat for this great KAL -- my first. I really liked knitting the afghan and used a lot of my stash yarn. I only needed to buy a few skeins to complete it.
