If you haven't already noticed, I created a separate post, which has all the photos of completed KAL blankets. No comments can be made to that thread. This makes it easy to see all the blankets.

Enjoy!

Whew, I finally finished my blanket. This is the first thing that I have ever knitted. The KAL and all the great posting and videos have helped me so much to learn how to knit. I have some boo-boo's in my blanket and my sewing skills are not really good. I thought I was too old to learn to knit at 56 years young, but found it so much fun! I plan on doing more of the smaller Bernat projects so that by next year my knitting skills will be much better I hope. I am a little embarrassed  to post the picture of my blanket as it is no where near as pretty and neatly stitched as the other beautiful blankets I have seen. Since I am laid off from work now I will have time on my hands to really get better knitting skills. My husband and two (college-aged) sons helped me work out the blocks to get a different pattern than the initial instructions. Here is my first attempt at knitting with boo-boo's and all, but I loved every minute. :cloud9:

:bravo: All the blankets are lovely. It is amazing how many different color combinations and layouts there are. :inlove: We are a creative bunch. I also noticed that our pets love, love, love our blankets. It warms my heart whenever I see a cat or dog lying on the blanket. They know how much love is in each stitch. :D

Glad that you put all the photos together so that we can view them more easily.
They are all so beautiful, Each time I look at them a different one is my favourite.
I am going to give my one to my little 2 year old great granddaughter.

I agree too, it is so nice to see all of the beautiful blankets together. A lot of hard work and lots of love went into each one. Thank you for posting them all together to see. It is sure going to be hard to pick a winner in each category as they are all so very pretty. After seeing all the color choices, it makes me want to do another one with some of the colors that I have seen. Just beautiful! :bravo:

I was glad to do it. It's nice to see all the blankets without any comments or other photos to distract the view. Now, everyone's blankets can stand on display very clean and neat. :)

Hi Shandeh,
Thank you so much for saying that! It gives me more confidence to continue on to more projects. It really was fun, and I feel like I learned so much from you and everyone's great postings on the forum. I found a really simple pattern at (yarn company removed by mod) for a baby blanket done on the diagonal just like one of the squares that we did so I am going to attempt that next as my best friend's daughter is expecting a little boy soon. After that I saw the really pretty lace cardigan pattern (crochet) here at Bernat that I am planning to jump on for a CAL. It is so pretty. Just ordered the yarn and so looking forward to making that. Bernat has so many great projects and everyone is always so helpful and encouraging especially so to new folks trying to learn. It has really be a great experience. Thanks again for talking with me and your nice comments about my first attempt at knitting. :knit:
